Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Transfer to Kibale National Park

Depart Kampala early morning, driving westwards through Mubende. Stop for lunch in the town of Fort Portal, nestled in the shadow of the Rwenzori Mountains. Continue to Kibale National Park, arriving in the late afternoon. Check into your premium eco-lodge, relax, and prepare for the next day's adventure. (Travel time: ~6 hours).

Day 2

Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Swamp Walk

Wake up early for a briefing at the park headquarters. Enter the forest to track the chimpanzees. Spend an enchanting hour observing them as they play, feed, and communicate in the wild. After lunch, visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run project offering sightings of rare birds and blue monkeys.

Day 3

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth & Evening Game Drive

After breakfast, drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The route through the crater lakes region offers breathtaking scenery. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. In the late afternoon, embark on a game drive in the Kasenyi plains, searching for lions, elephants, and Uganda kobs.

Day 4

Morning Game Drive & Kazinga Boat Cruise

Start the day with an early morning game drive to catch predators returning from their night hunts. Return for breakfast, followed by a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel—highlighting large herds of hippos, crocodiles, and a myriad of birdlife. Enjoy lunch before departing for Kampala, arriving in the evening.
